This month the Brooklyn Museum plans to explore observational drawing as an exciting strategy for teaching students of all ages and abilities. Drawing can be used across subject areas to demonstrate understanding, increase observational skills, and engage students in learning. Whether you are an experienced artist or a beginner, this workshop will provide tools to use observational drawing for communication, creative expression, and learning. You will visit several different collection areas and practice a variety of drawing techniques.  This event does not require any previous drawing experience. Educators in all subject areas (in grades K–12) are encouraged to attend.
