On January 26-28, 2012, The JASON Project will be offering a series of special professional development science events at the Mayerson Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. Attendees will receive 2 full days of JASON Project training and hear from 3 JASON Host Researchers!
JASON Curriculum Workshops
Receive 2 full days of JASON Project training in the curriculum of your choice. Selections include: Monster Storms (weather), Resilient Planet (ecology), Infinite Potential (energy), Tectonic Fury (geology), and Terminal Velocity (forces and motion).
Tim Samaras - Tornado Researcher

Tim is a Tornado Researcher, National Geographic Emerging Explorer, and a star of Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers". He is also a featured researcher in JASON's "Monster Storms" weather curriculum!

Shirley Murillo - Research Meteorologist and Hurricane Hunter

Shirley is a Research Meteorologist and Hurricane Hunter with NOAA and AOML. She is also a featured researcher in JASON's "Monster Storms" weather curriculum!

Kobie Boykins - Mechanical Engineer for NASA

Kobie is a Mechanical Engineer working at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, working on a variety of exciting space exploration projects, including the Mars rovers. He is also featured scientist/engineer in JASON's Terminal Velocity curriculum focusing on Forces and Motion.
