Dr. Robert D. Ballard is founder and chief scientist of The JASON Project and Immersion Learning, and is Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society. He is widely acclaimed for revolutionizing undersea exploration through the development of remotely operated submersibles capable of working at expedition sites miles below the surface.

Hercules ROVDr. Katy Croff Bell is a recent Ph.D. recipient from the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography, Chief Scientist of the E/V Nautilus, and a National Geographic Emerging Explorer.

How do I watch the live event?
To view the live event, go to the live event page shortly before the event start time and click on the live event link. This will take you to a page where you can view the live event. We recommend using just one computer to view the live event, preferably connected to a projector so your students can all watch. 

What do I need to watch the event?

How do I submit questions for the event?
If you didn't pre-submit questions, you can still submit questions live via text during the event.
