Transform Your Students into
Junior Wildlife Champions

June 8 is World Oceans Day-and as your students look forward to summer outdoors, there's no better time to learn more about the world's oceans and wildlife.  With a 30 year history of helping to save wildlife, Dawn has partnered with Discovery Education to create the Junior Wildlife Champions education and activity program. These original experiments and lessons teach children the importance of helping to save wildlife and encourage them to get involved in their own ways.

FREE LESSON PLANS AND GIFT:  Grades 3-5 (in English and EspaƱol)

  • INVESTIGATE the environmental impact of oil spills on wildlife and the environment
  • CONDUCT science experiments and observe the interaction of oil and water
  • WATCH inspiring wildlife rescue and rehabilitation videos

The Junior Wildlife Champions lesson plans provide interactive ways for your class to celebrate World Oceans Day next week.  With hands-on experiments and activities, these lesson plans motivate students to get involved and explore issues surrounding oil spills, wildlife and the environment. Participating teachers can also receive a free classroom gift from The Marine Mammal Center, in return for providing their honest feedback through our download survey.
