Experiencing Shakespeare takes students inside the Folger Shakespeare Library, the world’s largest Shakespeare collection and a leader in how Shakespeare is taught in today’s classrooms. Through Experiencing Shakespeare students investigate original documents relating to Shakespeare’s life and times, take a trip backstage with professional actors rehearsing for a Shakespeare performance, and discover how to read and understand Shakespeare’s language. During the broadcast, students will have the chance to submit questions to Folger experts and hear their responses, live and on-air.

Folger Shakespeare Library believes the best way to learn Shakespeare is to do Shakespeare. As part of Experiencing Shakespeare your students have an opportunity to appear in the broadcast performing their own scenes in the "Shakespeare Mash-up."

To be eligible, student videos must be submitted by March 1st. Clips must be no more than 50 MB, and in .MPEG4, . MOV, .AVI, or .WMV format.
