Enrichment 4 Kids Gifted Specialist Cindy Dwyer recently received exciting news. Through the NASA Explorer Schools Teacher Recognition Program she was selected to participate in the Coastal Ocean Education Research Experience to be held at NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA this July.

While participating in the program, Cindy will use satellite data, hands-on shipboard measurements and laboratory analysis to learn about why coastal oceans are important in understanding global climate. The workshop is designed to familiarize teachers with the science and research techniques used by NASA to study the coastal oceans, ocean color and Earth’s biosphere from space. She will get the opportunity to board research vessels and perform some of the same research techniques used by NASA scientists.

Congratulations to Cindy!
