Teacher Leadership Program

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Join us this month to explore connections between visual art and creative writing. How can looking at art be a catalyst for creative writing? How can reading texts increase our understanding of works of art? Discover new ways of engaging students in the writing process through interactive experiences in the galleries.

This workshop will highlight the special exhibition Sam Taylor-Wood: "Ghosts," the artist's photographic exploration of the Yorkshire moors, inspired by Emily Brontë's classic Victorian novel Wuthering Heights.

Educators in all subject areas (for grades K-12) are encouraged to attend this interdisciplinary workshop linking art and literacy instruction.

Time: 4–6 p.m.

Place: Studio 3, Education Division

Advance registration is required for this event. Please e-mail
