Toy Tech Exhibit on Long Island, NY

The Long Island Science Center in Riverhead, NY is hosting a new Toy Tech Exhibit until the end of August, Wednesdays through Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  It takes a look at how different kinds of toys work & lets you make & test toys. Admission is $8 per person.  http://www.lisciencecenter.org

American Museum of Natural History in NYC gets a new iPod touch/iPhone app

The American Museum of Natural History on New York City's Upper West Side has released AMNH Explorer (free) for the iPhone and iPod touch. This app, funded by Bloomberg, is a tour guide and personal navigation system that allows you to easily traverse the museum's huge collection.
